Marion County Park District

If you'd like to donate...

Naturally wild, naturally fun!

Although the Marion County Park District has received $455,000 in grants to purchase the land for a rail-trail and develop the first mile, these grants require 20 to 25% local matching funds. We will need to secure more grants to develop the rest of the trail, and will need matching funds for those grants.

 

There are several ways that you can help:

 

1) Make a tax-deductable donation to the Prairie Parks Foundation, a non-profit foundation set up to receive tax-deductible donations to help the Marion County Parks. Donations can be designated for specific uses. For more information, contact Karen Kelley at (740)-223-4161, or mail your donation to

2) Make a secure on-line donation to the Prairie Parks Foundation, a non-profit foundation set up to receive tax-deductible donations to help the Marion County Parks, via the PayPal button at right. Donations can be designated for specific uses.

3) Donate to one of the funds at the Marion Community Foundation that are designated to help Marion County Parks, or set up a new fund.
